This is a Large Deringer .56 cal pistol, 2 1/4" barrel, with 80-85% original solid brown finish, and butt cap box. Large bore Deringers are very seldom seen with any amount of finish. Typical Deringer 7 groove rifling.German Silver furniture. This is an excellent condition gun. Deringer made guns with solid brown finish and with the "Striped" finish also.The early guns were solid brown.
